Scaling New Height There is an old saying :Having the meditation ,to Bao Guang Monastery.As the one of four Monateries in Yangtze River valley,it keeps a grand prestige of the zen Buddhist monastery.Among the four garlands in Chengdu,Bao Guang Monastery was renowned as its strict discipline and pure atmosphere of the temple.Due to the high fame of Bao Guang Monastery among the Chinese zen Buddhist temples,half of monks of E'Mei Mountain which is one of the Four Sacred Mountains in Chinese Buddhism come to Bao Guang Monastery for ordinations.In this connection ,Bao Guang Monastery is honored to be called E-Ban Tang(half of E-Mei).In modern China,many of the monks and nuns who received ordinations or studied in Bao Guang Monastery have made important achievements.The examples are Venerable Long Lian .They are regarded as the distinguished senior monks and nuns in the world.
